John Deacon – Head of Employee Benefits

John joined Truestone in 2004 to head up the Employee Benefits Consultancy. He started his career as a pilot in the RAF but after his commission he moved on into corporate finance and then into financial consultancy in 1990. Prior to joining Truestone, John worked for 15 years with two of the UK’s most established benefits consultancies, as a Divisional Director at SBJ Benefit Consultants and more recently as a senior consultant at Hymans Robertson. With his extensive experience in helping companies, both large and small, develop and implement robust benefits solutions, John continues to advise clients, particularly on long term benefits strategy. John sees his role and the role of Truestone as being driven by the need for education and governance, helping employers and employees understand and address the huge issues of pensions’ savings and the challenges of being chronically underfunded. Only by knowing the facts, however unpalatable, will people begin to appreciate how big an issue this is for both businesses and individuals alike. John is an ardent opera fan. His sporting endeavours however take second place to family activities and he only occasionally makes it out sailing or onto the golf course. Contact John. |
