We are not in the business of selling products, nor do we limit ourselves by strategic relationships with a few fund providers, we select, on your behalf, from the broadest possible universe of investment managers. Our reward via a management fee is directly linked to your long term interests.
Financial planning knowledge - Because Truestone is able to advise you on the wider issues that affect you – pensions, savings, inheritance and tax, we can seamlessly incorporate these important factors into your investment strategy.

Investment Philosophy

Turning to our investment philosophy, our approach is to combine active asset allocation – seeking out the best mix of stocks, bonds, cash, property and other assets, with a deep understanding of your specific requirements.

Looking in more detail our process has three elements:

Understanding markets – We constantly research and evaluate investment opportunities on a global basis. We consider politics, economics and investor sentiment to identify the true opportunities from the pitfalls and only then determine where hard earned money can be put to offer the most appropriate ratio of risk to reward.
Selecting external talent – We use market intelligence, statistical sources and interviews with fund managers to select the most suitable places to put your money. We don’t believe that one firm can really be an expert in Japanese smaller companies and large UK companies. We look for specialists who really know their niche. We tend to select independent managers who have a real financial and reputational commitment to their own investment decisions.
Personal asset strategy – We create an investment portfolio specifically aimed at delivering your objectives. We believe in building portfolios of diverse asset types that over time will each perform differently but as a whole offer the opportunity to grow wealth whilst controlling risk.
